Oregon Oral Health Coalition is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation
The Oregon Oral Health Coalition (OROHC) was developed by a diverse group of individuals wishing to provide central support and leadership to professional and advocacy groups, local and state government agencies, other entities and organizations. While many groups currently exist to improve oral health, we strive to be a broad-based organization that can pool resources, increase statewide communications, launch initiatives, advocate for policy change and help coordinate various activities. Our MissionOROHC is to be a central source for advocacy, information and communication about oral health issues in Oregon, and to organize stakeholders’ individual strengths into a collective power for oral health.
The Oregon Oral Health Coalition hosted an Oral Health Planning Summit in April 2012, bringing together over 50 participants from around the State to discuss some exciting developments in oral health in Oregon, including the passage of Senate Bill 738 in the last Legislative Session, and the recent award of a Growing Oral Health in Oregon planning grant to OROHC by the DentaQuest Foundation.
The day included planning, collaboration and network building as we addressed these key questions:
- What do we want the oral health landscape of Oregon to be?
- How can we work together?
- What can OROHC do to support local and statewide efforts?
